Rahmah, my mum

Fauzi Abdulrahman

She's my mum, my wonderful mum,
Her age is eighty four,
Raised ten children, it's quite a sum,
A mum we love to adore

To each and everyone she took good care
"Humans" we grew up to be,
Cross her path, none of us would dare,
Tho timid a lady was she.

First to be up in the early morning,
And last to sleep at night,
Always in her spirit of giving,
Teaching us to do what's right.

And today she's old and aging,
It's time for us to repay,
Will try to ease her ills and aching,
Good health and long life we pray.

And to our children we shall teach,
To live in peace and harmony,
Perpetuating all that mum did preach,
Living a life in dignity.
